As to Thomas Broadhead - his age out by 5 years but think his death must be the one bc.1845, Dec.qtr.1900 Hunslet.   This  is NOT your Thomas
From Yorkshire Indexers website:
Hunslet Cemetery
Database ID   28632
Burial Entry   21378
Forename(s)   Thomas
Surname   BROADHEAD
Abode   10 Cariss Street Hunslet
Description   Coal dealer

I can't find a Thomas Broadhead which fits this one.

In 1901, at 6 Cariss street there is John William Broadhead, wife Frances (nee Howlett) and 1 month old daughter Sarah. Their marriage record is on Ancestry, J W's father is Thomas a brewer. There doesn't seem to be a no 8 and at no 10 is Joseph Needham coal dealer. Could the informant for Thomas's death got a bit confused and got age and occupation wrong or Thomas did a bit of coal dealing on the side. No 10 might have all the wherewithall for that type of business.

If you do a 1911 census address search with the address on Minnie's marriage cert........

Hi Lizzie,
I've tried to do this on ancestry but not had any results. How do you do it? or did you use a different programme?

I use FindMyPast which has address search. I have had some success with Ancestry putting street name in the keyword box, but it can give a large number of results.
Others who use Ancestry more for censuses may have better ideas.

According to the 1939 Register Minnie was born 13/5/1890 and her husband Robert 27/10/1892.
That date makes it look like Minnie was born in Bradford.

Births April to Jun 1890

Broadhead  Minnie    Bradford, Y.  9b 97

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi All,
I have been re-reading through this thread and trying to make sense of the information.

So it looks like Mgt ann broadhead/Sutton married Thomas broadhead brewer and they had 8 children
1911- says children 6 alive 2 dead.

1901-Mgt was living with a john fallon with only 1 child Minnie (my great grandma).

I'm still unclear about what happened and why mgt would only take 1 of her children with her, maybe Minnie youngest. Still unsure when Thomas died too.

Thanks for your assistance

Jo
