Yes me too Jamjar.

I believe this site can be used http://austcemindex.com/bdm in the meantime.  From memory it links to old site and we used it while NSW BDM was upgrading.

Yes, they certainly have, JM.

I notice that they are happy to support a site that many of us are not in a position to afford, though.

Hi everyone,
just saw your discussion,   it is working at the moment because I went in to look up a marriage and I find you now need to have the Grooms surname and the Brides Surname,    sometimes we don't know both so how to we find the info as many of us used this as a starting point to find a spouse.  Anyone know why?

Hi,

Try using a 'wild card' for a surname.....   eg  the Asterisk * works as a wild card.

From their webpage :

Use advanced wildcard characters to find or replace text.

*

Any string of characters  eg R*n will match Ron, Ran, Roan etc.  and 'Bro*' it will match any word starting with Bro e.g. Brooks, Bromley, Bros.

............

?

Replace a single character   eg R?n will match Ron, Ran etc. It will not match Roan.

..............

@

Represents a soundex  eg @colin will match Clune, Colan, Cullan, Callahan.

Although it says that, you don't. You do need at least one surname though.
