SP Valuation Rolls - Why same ref: no's for different addresses?

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to find out where my 2 x g g/father was living after the death of his wife in 1884 & prior to his own death 1908

I searched Valuation Rolls (phonetic search for McCluskey) & it brought this up;

All have different addresses i.e. can someone please explain why the Reference no's are all the same?

Ones in Blue are possibles.

If I remember correctly one aspect of the Valuation Rolls were that they were indexed by ownership of the properties (I can't find the page on the new SP ) -possibly indicating that although different addresses they were owned by the same person or company

It looks to me as if he might own all of the houses - let out to tenants.  He is a landlord.
The final one he actually lives in.
The reference number is "his number" as the owner.  It's the "ownership ID number", not the "address ID number".

That makes sense now.

Now I can't remember if the Valuation Roll lists everyone in the household?

Will need to check any other's I have, brain too tired.

They don't unfortunately list everyone only the main tenant or owner
