Have you checked the marriage entry to see if the witnesses provide a clue?

Leagrave was a hamlet of Luton. On the IGI there's a baptism in Luton on 26 Sep 1790 of Aice (sic) Webb daughter of Robert and Elizabeth. I'd be looking at this to see if there's any more detail. Robert and Elizabeth also baptised two sons in Luton. Was their abode Leagrave?

Not entirely convinced about this one given the age discrepancy compared to Alice Skinner living in Redbourn b Leagrave in censuses, and it doesn't look as though she was a late baptism, as her parents married in 1786 and baptised a son in 1787. But there's no other marriage in Beds that fits for an Alice Webb nor a burial 1790-1811, so if this is the wrong Alice I don't know what happened to her.

But first you need to check the parish register to see if Robert and Elizabeth Webb were of Leagrave.

I think Chelle knows about this marriage and I wondered if she'd checked the marriage entry in Redbourn parish register.

Looked at Luton PR transcript early today. While the baptism of Alice Webb on 26 Sep 1790 does not state an abode of the parents; the other baptisms of sons of Robert & Elizabeth Webb := William on 29 Jul 1787 & Thomas on 10 Mar 1793 do state Leagrave as the abode.

Robert Webb married Elizabeth Keecher on 10 Oct 1786 in Luton parish but this does not state any specific abode. However the burial of Elizabeth, wife of Robert Webb on 30 Aug 1793 says he was of Leagrave. There is also a burial of un-named child, son of Robert Webb of Leagrave on 10 May 1799.

There is also a marriage on 11 Nov 1794 of Robert Webb to Jane Cooper but it don't say any abode nor suggest he is a widower. Nor is there any baptisms of children of Robert & Jane Webb.

Cheers John

Have you only got her on 1841, or is she still around on later censuses?  If only 1841, then places of birth are not given - so what is the source of the idea she is born in Leagrove, Beds?

DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex

Farrington - Essex

1841, 1851, 1861 censuses living in Church End Redbourne, is Alice Skinner
1841 with husband John Skinner, says she's born in county (Herts)
However in 1851 & 1861 she's a widow, both saying she's born Leagrave, Beds
1841 living with her is daughter Mary 8, in 1851 with her is Mary 19 & in 1861 Alice is visiting married daughter Mary age 29

Nice one John! As the burial of the unnamed child in 1799 was a son of Robert, that leaves the way clear for Aice or Alice baptised in 1790 to be the Alice who married in Redbourn in 1811. Not cast iron, and probably unproveable, but it looks good
