James McDonnell born 1868 to Joseph McDonnell and Mary Stephens
« on: Thursday 29 September 16 20:00 BST (UK) »
Hi, my Great Grandfather James McDonnell was born on 10th November,1868 in Ballaghdereen, which was at that time in County Mayo but has been in County Roscommon since 1898.His father was Joseph  McDonnell and his mother was Mary (Stephens) McDonnell. His sponsors or witnesses were Mick McDonnell and Bridget Regan. I don't know if he had any brothers or sisters,or indeed if his parents had any siblings. Any information on these branches of the McDonnell and Stephens familes would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Paul

Many thanks to hallmark, heywood and dathai. So James definitely had at least 2 brothers. Great news. Thanks again for your help.

Paul.
