I was born in Lancashire in 1949, so know the seaside resorts quite well.

In my memory it looks familiar.  Did you ever stay at a holiday camp? It could be enclosed within Butlins perhaps?
Did you ever go to Rhyl or Prestatyn?
Unfortunately, I don't know. I don't think our family went in for holiday camps but I could be wrong. I shall have to ask around.

I'm fairly certain there's no fencing like that on Ainsdale beach just dunes one side and there would be other buildings visible on the other side. When I'm passing I'll check.

Is there another photo taken around the same time that perhaps could be identified which would help? I've just been sorting 1950s photos and discovered some had numbers on the back which helped me get them together and others it was the very faint paper name on the back which helped.
There are so many photos but if I keep an eye out for seaside ones I might spot something taken at the same time.  Here's hoping!
