It might be on a north facing coast - the sun appears to be fairly high and sunlight coming from the right of the photo :-\

I've been watching Poldark so am seeing Cornish tin/copper mines everywhere.  ;)

I can see that this looks a bit like it could be one, especially with the coastal backdrop, however, there seems to be a wall on the right behind the people, and there are walls in the foreground, so I'm wondering if it is a castle with a curtain wall.

Not very helpful I'm afraid, but it is an excellent spot for a castle.  :)

I'm sure someone will recognise it as it's in a very prominent position.

Could it be as far away as Tintagel?It's decades since I was there but it has that sort of feel about it.
(Can't find a viewpoint to give such a view but...)

This was my feeling too, and with the initial clues and rocky coastline I was planning to head off to north Cornwall...
