Hello - could anyone please look up Joseph in Workington and see if he was born in Asby/Appleby area. He should have wife and daughter with him (daughter Sarah M)

Thanks Sandra. Wife should be Margaret or Maggie  - no birth date - and daughter was born 1891 in Whitehaven Registration district - Sarah Miriam M - known as Miriam.

Thank you so much Sandra. This is definitely the right daughter and there is a step mother involved later so possibly Margaret is the stepmother. Joseph and his siblings were born in the Asby/Griseburn area so Greasborough/Griseburn?? I'll need to biuy the birth certificate. Your help is much appreciated.

We can't do look ups for the 1911 Census - copyright rules etc but maybe I could say Joseph is with Margaret in 1911 b- Sarah was a domestic science student in Hampstead  ;)
