Re recent probates.

I am Waikato based and since say 2000 have been executor of a number, that the respective solicitor filed at the Hamilton Court;  BUT in fact they were processed centrally [Wellington ?] and came back to the Hamilton Court to be rubber stamped, and made available to the applying solicitor. Therefore I believe very little information will, now days, be held at the court the probate was registered at.

Thanks Mihi and Fresh fields

I have contacted the archives and local courts and for a fee the family member may obtain a copy of the probate but was advised to let her know to go back to the original lawyers office that dealt with her brothers estate and inquire with them first.
