Northern Counties Blind Society publication - Need a copy
« on: Thursday 06 October 16 17:25 BST (UK) »
Hello,

A distant ancestor of mine, James Steele was the subject of a publication in 1905, written by his wife in 1905 for the Braille Magazine of the Northern Counties Blind Society.

It is titled 'James Steele of Walton, Cumberland: His Life Story Shortly Told'

How would I be able to get hold of a copy? Provided it still exists? I am not sure if the society still exists and there must be a facsimile somewhere as I have a book that discusses some of its contents, so the author must have seen it.

thanks

Does he give a list anywhere in the book where his sources came from?

How old is the book- if it isn't that old it might be worth contacting the author through the publishers? I presume the publication is from 1905 but the book is published later?
