Yes, I have a BL card and I took the precaution of phoning the BL first about availability. They ordered it for me over the phone - they just needed the address (with postcode even better) so they could identify the ward. Should be there Wednesday.

Thanks for thinking of warning.  It would have been a tad annoying to turn up and find, "get a card and wait 48 hours".

You're lucky they took the request over the phone for delivery tomorrow.

The last time I had to phone because of a computer problem, I was told phone requests can take 5 days as they are short staffed at St P.

Check your online account/reading room requests before you leave home to make sure the books have arrived.

you can phone customer services who are usually very helpful or email social sciences but they don't always respond promptly.

I'm going tomorrow if you can't get there and could arrange with you and them so I can look at the books on your behalf.

This is the first time I have used the original printed electoral lists.  Not user friendly!  I managed to identify the ward where Victoria Place should be located (West Ward) but none of the three electoral districts contained a Victoria Place.  I then tried the 'Sunningdale' route.  The British Listed Buildings site gives the address Victoria Place but on the same page there is the reference to 20 Knightstone Road with another reference number. This new page shows the house in question between both roads and facing the seafront.

The original request attached a 1970's photo of the house in question, which looks as though it is on the seafront and shows windows with 'hood moulds' as described on the second Listed Buildings site. The 2016 image on googlemaps also shows the same windows on the ground floor of the building (now apparently an hotel).  I concluded this was the same house.

I have passed on the names of the residents. I hope they are what was wanted....

according to Kellys street directory for 1974 Victoria Place was from 18 Knightstone Rd to Royal Crescent if that's any help - Im still looking for the house name but it doesn't exist in the 1910 Kellys street directory

Do you have any idea what the surname of the occupant's you are searching for is at that would help no end as I have access to Kellys street directories at Weston Library so can see all the residents for 1974 - the year you wanted info on
