Averham grave
« on: Wednesday 12 October 16 19:50 BST (UK) »
This site has been wonderful to me so far..So I am now looking for a grave of my birth mother, Margaret Anne Johnson nee Beckett, wo I believe died in 1981..I know that she was born in Averham but went to live in West Yorkshire but I just have a feeling that she " went home".
Many thanks, again

Could well have been a cremation by 1981

Maybe it might be sensible to start with cemeteries and crematoria near where she died (have you got the death cert?) , to rule that out, before looking at Averham. Who registered the death? Is it someone you could contact to ask?
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

This lady is not the one you seek, she was aged 70 and her death was registered at Halifax.

Hi Stitches

You really need the death cert for more information although that won't tell you whether she was buried, cremated or where but if she died at the end of the year her funeral may well have taken place in January 1982.
