Freshening up 1943 wedding photo of J & N Deakin, Staffordshire
« on: Thursday 13 October 16 21:05 BST (UK) »
The 1943 wedding photos of Jim and his bride all seem very flat, greyish and speckly when enlarged.  There seems little contrast.  I don't know if this was due to availability problems with suitable photographic paper, or whether it was a price issue.  I would greatly appreciate it restorers would see what they could do to improve the look of this example photograph from the collection.
Many thanks - BB

Two different colour tones for you.
Restorers : Please do not use my restorations without asking my permission first. Thanks.

Good quality size scans will mean much better restores >> hint hint :-)

Dear All - what an immediate revitalising of the photo - each of you has brought the image alive, and the different approaches are great!  Thank you so much.
