Catherine appears to be still living in the Greeenock area at the time of her passing in 1911 - Informant on Catherine Tait's death cert was son Robert Tait - 5 Ingleston Street -  Cause of death senility - 3 months. 7 Crescent Street Greenock.

1901 showed Robert at 3 Ingeston Street with wife Margaret and children

Robert Tait   38 Margaret Tait   33
Christina Tait 13 Robert Tait   11
James Tait   19

The census in 1901 for Alexander Kidd and Violet Kidd checking back I would say this would be Violet's birth
Violet Jackson bone 17 January 1863 Salen Argyleshire
Father David Jackson mother Jessie Morison

Think there is some family connection Catherine McPherson with her Aunt Catherine McPherson  in the 1861 census who was born Argyleshire
