Captains Carew of Waterford
« on: Monday 17 October 16 15:24 BST (UK) »
I have noticed in the St. Patrick's Church Graveyard in Patrick's street a grave for a Captain James Carew (he was a Mariner) who died 1764 aged 53 along with 4 of his children. Also mentioned on the headstone is his eldest Captain John Carew who died in 1785 aged 32.

Does anyone know who these two Captains might be?

It's possible they were connected the Carew family of Waterford.  Their genealogy should be in Burke's peerage.
