Hi everyone,

I'm quite late to the party, as I just stumbled upon this thread looking for more info on my family tree.

Charles Trew Prebble is my Great, Great, Great Grandfather (if I am working it out correctly). My Great Grandmother Ellen Adele Prebble was born in Monte Video, Uruguay of Charles' son and his French wife, and subsequently was sent to live with Charles and his wife Elizabeth who I think would have been Ellen's step-grandmother. She attended Cheltenham Ladies College (as it is now known).

For interest, my Great Grandmother ultimately eloped to Montreal, Canada and never saw her family again!

I found a 1901 census where Ellen is living with them, and they have just the one servant - they had clearly downsized by that time. Charles was 73 and listed as a retired civil engineer.

Hi Alvaro, I understand you're interested in Frank Hudson's property which he named after the Uruguayan football team. I wish you good luck. Frank was my cousin 3 times removed.
