I probably looked it up 10 years ago before they put it on Ancestry probably off another micro film reel than the one I had.I would have been looking at it on micro film and probably it was unreadable.Thats the only excuse I have.Its such a long time ago.

I would say it is very likely that George was christened in Banbury. Banbury is only 3 miles away from Great Bourton. Great Bourton is part of a few villages with the common name 'Bourton' on the Oxon/Berkshire border. My ancestors hailed from Bourton, however, there was no church at the time, so they were all christened at Shrivenham. It's very likely George was baptised in Banbury.
