My grandparents married in 1941 the register office East Glamorgan. At the time they were living in gelligaer anyone know where the register office would be for this area

The East Glamorgan district covered a large area, but not the main conurbations like Merthyr and Pontypridd.  Have found the 1942 phone book - Glamorgan County Council entry lists registrars for East Glamorgan in Cardiff, Whitchurch, Penarth and Hengoed. the latter seems the most likely for Gelligaer - address is J Morris, LPO buildings
