James coutts

Hello I was wondering if anyone can help .
I am looking for information on James Coutts, he stayed  at New Deer, he was married to Margaret ?, he must of been born about 1810 according to the 1871 census.
I think he was born illegitimate, I think his mum was a Wilson.
I would be grateful for any help.

Hi what sort of information are you looking for ?  ...As you have him in the 1871 census you should be able to get a death for him on Scotland's People that should give you his wife's name and confirm his  mother's

There is a  marriage of James Coutts to Margaret Cockburn in New Deer 31 Jan 1835.

He seems  to be named on the wills index dated 28/6/1875.Farmer in Slacks of Cairnbanno in the parish of New Deer.( For type it states T.incl Margaret Cockburn). 1861census shows a niece Ann Cockburn age 14 b New Deer with James and Margaret.

Death for James Coutts 1875 New Deer age 65 Ref 225/23.This should give parents names.
