Ray -- the CDs were compiled by Guy Martin / Martin Guy (can never remember which way round his name is!) who is something to do with the Parish Council - so maybe call in the Town Hall next time you're in Chapel. Or I can message you his email address.
The Index & graveyard plans are on one disc, the actual MIs on a second disc.
The CDs also include the survey of the Methodist Church taken around the same time -- but as I am Graveyard Steward for the Methodists I have more up-to-date info on that graveyard.

PC99 Theres about a dozen ATKINs in 4 or 5 graves -- any particular person you are looking for ?

Thanks - It's probably Martin Guy - the other one rides motorbikes and mends trucks! I've got to walk down to Morrisons this PM so I'll call in at the parish office (They're usually closed when I do. It is Wednesday and everything else seems to.)

I'm looking for a little girl called Judith Barratt who died in 1942. There is no headstone. I don't have the burial record with me at the moment but I believe the plot number is 720. The family would like to know where in the churchyard she is buried.

Ahh, if there is no headstone, then my CDs cannot help -- they contain the MIs recorded in a graveyard survey done in 1990

I doubt the Parish Council will have any further info either -- you would need to try either Derbyshire Record Office to see if the burial books from that period have been deposited yet or the actual church if the books are still in use

ETA : Have just double-checked the CD -- although there's several Barratts in the Index, theres no Judith amongst them

Marmalady - thanks for your reply. I appreciate your help. The DRO didn't have any further info on this little girl except her baptism record which they sent me. I'll contact the parish office. However, I would be very interested to hVe the info you have on the other Barratts as I can check the family tree I've done so far to see if they are from this family. The family seemed to have stayed in the area for some time as I've gone back to 1827 so far.
