Grave website
« on: Wednesday 26 October 16 19:23 BST (UK) »

Some while ago someone mentioned a website for finding graves.  I thought I had bookmarked same  :'( and now cannot either find or remember what it was  ::)

I know the thread was in the Common Room - have searched and trawled through the threads but nothing is bursting out on me...

Can sks suggest what it was please?

Just a point.......for details deceased charges a fee, whereas FindaGrave is entirely free. it is probably worth checking on Findagrave to see the entries in your 'selected' graveyard. Members (free) can create records, photos family details and bios etc. In this way Findagrave grows and is a useful resource.

Deceased Online- at one time you could do an advanced search, they have now changed this and you have to pay for it,or have purchased vouchers within the last 6 months, you only get a general search for free.

"All searching of the Deceased Online database is free. Simple searching does not require registration. However we reserve more detailed location information (cemetery and crematorium names) and Advanced Searching for our registered users who have purchased at least one pay-per-view voucher within the last six months or have a subscription.

Once you have registered and purchased a pay-per-view voucher or a subscription you will have access to the advanced search and richer search results which will help you identify the people you are looking for more precisely. Searching is still free, and voucher(s) can then be redeemed to view register scans, maps or other details as available."
