Colonel J F Dean Morgan of Ballycross, Co. Wexford
« on: Saturday 29 October 16 13:41 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help to trace this gentleman whose only daughter Frances Cyril Vivian Dean(-)Morgan married Howard Douglas Campbell in Queensland in 1888. So far, his name in the marriage notice seems to be the only sighting I have him.
His daughter is also a mystery. Birth uncertain, her husband died in London in 1901 and she is then in London as author and journalist. In 1912, apparently living Ongar, Essex, she failed to sue a shipping line for damages, the last sighting I can find of her. On the 1911 census she says place of birth uncertain, possibly Co. Antrim while age of birth is c1874!!
Incidentally she had a daughter Phyliis(Phillis) Frances born Queensland in 1891 (1894 on 1911 census) who also 'disappears' in the early 1910s.
I am hoping if it is possible to trace the father, it would be possible to find the daughter's birth?

Thanks
John
