Hufsham or Hussum Abbeyside Dungarvan
« on: Sunday 30 October 16 20:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi reached a road block on my great great grandparents. Patrick Whelan and Anastasia Hufsham married in Abbeyside in 1846. Patrick was from a seafaring family as was Anastasia. They had 4 children, Katherine, Mary, Bridget and Patrick. They were grandparents of Captain Tom Donoghue of Kerlogue fame, my grandmothers older brother. I can't find any details of Patrick and Anastasia's family but I think Anastasia's father may have been Dutch and called Moses. Anyone else come across these names ? Paul

Shipping and Seamen records might be useful for this family 1860 - 1921
Whelan Dungarvan throws up a good few results.
