Billingham Electoral Roll 1958
« on: Monday 31 October 16 15:04 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone please have access to the Billingham electoral roll for 1958? My maternal grandfather John Robert Douglas was living at 25 Grampian Road when he died in Sedgefield hospital. We are looking for information about other members of the household. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Liz

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

If no-one else is able to help before the end of the week, I can check the registers at the British Library on Friday.

Have you looked at the address on the 1939 register as that may solve your problem? we cannot do look-ups on that dataset due to the terms and conditions of use set by FindMyPast but if you don't have a subscription, you'll need to buy credits or check out your local library to see if they have access in-house.

Thanks Dawn.  My Grandmother died in 1954 and he moved into Grampian Road after that.  I just want to contact the family he lived with to see if they have his war medals because my mum (his daughter) is 94 years old and I'd like to know if they have them for her to borrow for a while.  Thanks again.  Your help is really appreciated.  Liz

Having trouble identifying which constituency the address was in back in 1958.

Although it is now Stockton North it wasn't Stockton-on-Tees then.
