Baptism records help please!

I am searching through baptism records and often run across a little cross next to the name.

So, my thought is that the child did not survive. Is this right? Or does it mean they died later as an adult?

Could you post a link to one of the records, please. It might merely be a mark indicating that the record was transcribed but difficult to know without seeing it.

There is one om the first page and two on the second

I think they could be marks to indicate where clergy left off (perhaps they later married or needed copy of baptism record or records being transcribed) but you could try matching with death certificates to see if they do indicate deaths.
