perhaps a slight error on the surname on this one  ???

Lydia Ann Ashmore - maiden name of mother Bacon

Perhaps the marriage of William Ashmore and Hannah Bateman could be William and Mary Bateman

Sandra,

thank you so much what a find.  Was just going to add to post, you beat me to it!  Thought of buying birth cert for Jasper instead of sister Eliza because was only 1 birth for a Jasper and several for an Eliza Robinson.  Your findings are fantastic.

When Eliza Robinson married Richard Nunn  in 1896 a witness was Jasper Robinson (must be brother) her first son b. 1898 was named Jasper.  I feel we are on the right road.

So to find marriage of Samuel and Eliza I need to look for an Eliza Maycock.

I couldn't find daughter Eliza on 1891 census with parents in Wheatbridge Road, however she was living as a servant in The Griffin Inn public house. Wheatbridge Road.  Its going very fast but
so exciting.  Hubby is really getting into this now and is helping a lot with locations etc.

Thanks again  :D

Sandra,
In April I unwittingly upset you and others and stopped posting.  I am incredibly grateful that you have helped me so much in this post.  Through your finds I have found so much myself and just wanted to say a huge thank you. You steered me in right direction.

I don't post much these days but still look. I miss joining in but probably best I don't.

Thanks x
