Born at Whitehead (north along the coast from Carrickfergus) but family's residence is 8 Oakland Ave., Bloomfield, Belfast
The family are at the same address in 1911-

... but the 1911 census has his name back to front and is registered in Victoria (part of), Down and not Larne? I'm afraid I don't have his parents names which is why I'm putting my feelers out in this forum.
...
The 1911 entry shows his birthplace as Antrim even though the family were living in Down in 1911
Belfast is in both counties but Victoria D.E.D. is in the Co.Down part.

My records show Thomas Nathaniel Fennel Hobson (1909 - 1941) was one of 4 sons of Nathaniel James Fennell Hobson (1882 - 1918) and Elizabeth Mary Hobson (1885 - 1966).  He died on HMS Breconshire as shown.  I think years may be 1 out due to the different dates of the recording for census records.  The youngest son of the 4 was Cecil Arthur Hobson (1918 - 1991) and Cecil Arthur Hobson was my father.  Thomas Nathaniel Fennel Hobson's wife was Margaret Enid Jones as shown, but from my knowledge they had a daughter who married a Butterworth, but I do not have any dates or any more details of this.  Does anybody out there have any more information on the daughter?  Thanks.

There are various items in newspapers of 1913, concerning bankruptcy of Nathaniel James Hobson. One mentions him being son-in-law of Thomas Henry Ham.

chrisross, unless you know that Thomas and Margaret's daughter has died, you will need to edit your post to remove her name, as rootschat do not allow details of living/potentially living persons on the forum boards. As it may already be past the window in which you can edit, you can report the post to a moderator and ask them to make the changes for you.

Perhaps folks could help you with other aspects of research instead?
