Kerry - Location help please
« on: Friday 04 November 16 10:26 GMT (UK) »
I'm returning to my wife's family history after some time and an envelope has come to light giving an address in Kerry which probably dates to the late C19th - I'ms struggling to identify the location and hoping that someone with a little more knowledge of the area can help me to pinpoint it.

Its certainly not a location I have come across before - its difficult to transcribe some of it

Cornelius Galivan?
The Old Court?
Gurthin? Farm
Co Kerry
Ireland

What details do you have on the person?
Nolan, Cremins & O'Connor - County Kerry, Ireland.
Keogh - Queen's County (Laois)
Stack - Limerick & Clare

Further to this...

Other records I have suggest that there may be a connection to Lixnaw , where there is an old house called "Old Court"

I think maybe "Gurthen/Gurthin Farm"  .... ?

Well there are only 5 on Census, all the OP needs to do is look at them and see if any makes sense and post which one!
