Harold Seymour Scott Architect
« on: Saturday 05 November 16 18:31 GMT (UK) »
Harold Seymour Scott (d 1946), bottom left, was a Birmingham based architect who designed a number of cinemas in the 1920s and 1930s.
I have no idea of the names of the others in the group or what they represented but am assuming it may have been connected with the syndicate which promoted some of the cinemas which he designed. They were said to have been a group of Midland Wine merchants but I have not been able to verify this. Some names regularly appearing in connection with these enterprises were Rex Hilton, Col Baldwin-Webb and the Birmingham based builder T Elvins.
Can anyone identify any of the chaps in the photo? I only have a copy othe photo not the original so I have no knowledge of anything which might have been written on the back! I imagine that the photo was probably taken mid 1930s.

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!
