It indicates IT ONCE WAS!!!!!

It IS NOW UNDER CLONES....

IF the Government does more downsizing then Clones might get closed and then it might be under Monaghan town!!

I now have got my hands on another copy of the same birth certificate, issued on 16 April 1980 (ie 8 years after the other one), which has the District of Dawsongrove , Superintendent's Registrar's District of COOTEHILL.

I guess my take away from all this is that I might need to be flexible when searching by districts for details of some of the family.

Which is likely quoting the details from the ORIGINAL register.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
