Looking for uncle Arthur's death
« on: Wednesday 09 November 16 17:01 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the death of my 2x great uncle Arthur Boulton.

He was born in Guiseley on 13 January 1913 and married Eleanor B Shaw in Keighley in 1936.  In 1939 they are in Guiseley.

He had three children who were born between 1937 and 1946.

I have looked in the usual places but have not been able to find anything.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

There are lots of deaths for Arthur Boultons born 1913 or so, on FreeBMD.
Have you managed to rule any out?  Or found where/when he may have died?  Can any of his children help?

As I said I looked at the usual places including FreeBMD.

None of the deaths I looked at matched where he was born and I do not know if he moved elsewhere at any time.

I do not know much about him and I do not know his children so I cannot ask them about him unfortunately.

Might this be his wife's death?

Eleanor Barrass Boulton of 16 PArkway Streeton nr Keighley died 4 Jan 1987. No Will, administration granted .....

Death
Jan 1987
Keighley
Ref 4 601
Eleanor Barrass Boulton
age 74
dob 2 April 1912

Getting her death cert will hopefully tell you if she was a widow, or not. Or if Arthur registered her death.

That will narrow down the years when he might have died.  One of the deaths on FreeBMD must be him, unless he lived till after 2007 (highly possible)

Since his death does not appear in death index, nor does it state where he died on the probate record, he may have been on holiday at the time and not in England/Wales.

Yes I could not see his death either strange how the probate record does not mention place of death ?

Over the years the probate calendars have contained less information such as the names of the executors and place of death.
