Enid this is your previous post using a different user name.  One of your many requests about Frederick Leo HOGAN who you wrote married Lesley Joan STEPHENSON.  You wrote there were no children of the marriage.

How do you know Lesley's maiden name was STEPHENSON?  It has been suggested it may have been BEATON.

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=379037.0

There would have been hundreds if not thousands of people with the surname STEPHENSON living in Melbourne in those years.  Why are you wanting this info?

I can't see a death registration for Lesley Joan though.  I wonder if there was a delay in registering her birth as deaths in 1989 are not available online.

Enid,
Perhaps this is where you have gone onto the wrong track as Cando and Judith have pointed out.

Have you assumed that the woman named **** STEPHENSON  had the birth name of STEPHENSON when in fact it was a married name.  Have you then concluded it must also have been the maiden name of Lesley Joan  ?

Are you seeking information now about a couple named  ******** and  **** STEPHENSON?

I have not discovered strong evidence to confirm the death of this woman. According to a news item about her illness and admittance to hospital, She was 10 years in 1945  and was the daughter of John BEATON of Camperdown. There are other news items about her that go a long way to confirming her identity and suggesting her future marriage.

We choose to comply with the rules of Rootschat and the laws of Australia so, as she may still be living, discussions will need to be by private message .
