If you contact ScotlandsPeople asking for a rescan and pointing out that the image is unreadable they will rescan the page and email you a better quality image. The contact link is the orange "Report an issue" in the top left corner

Could be Isabella has been put as Esabella - I have seen this where the family were from Northern Ireland.  Say it out loud!

Just to round things off-the re-scanned image from Scotlandspeople arrived today, and its  MUCH MUCH clearer than the original (see attachment).  So it's definitely worth asking for if you get one that's very difficult to read.

Good result ctrunfree! SP are very helpful, and their service is excellent, however a lot of the "can anyone read this" requests are poor copies of SP certificates, so they would save themselves a lot of work if they did a quick quality check (if the process allows), before sending.  :)
