Belford MIs
« on: Monday 14 November 16 12:13 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Having just seen an earlier posting re Belford MIs I wonder if there are any for either Holmes or Nichol between 1750 - 1850; I think it unlikely as the Holmes trade was a hind or similar (maybe farmer) but you never know!

thank you
Judith

Hi Judith

There don't appear to be any MIs for Belford - at least not at Woodhorn archives.  I looked at the index today.

I assume you have all the burials and were hoping for some extra info from headstones?

Christine

Although the Belford MIs have not been published we have a list at Belford Museum where I am a volunteer. I will have a look for you this week.

Sorry, nothing at all for those names in Belford MIs. However, I found several burials for Holmes and one for Nichol (child, no parents, names). If  you need these let me know.

Thank you Val for such a prompt reply, the only 1 that may or may not be a rellie is James Nichol

Sarah is, I believe, my 5xGtGrandmother, husband Thomas.
William could be either Thomas' grandfather or their son
Margaret could be their daughter
Thomas - 1836 is 5xGtGrandfather, I think 2 Thomas could be sons of 5xGtGrandparents and the 3rd Thomas father
John could be Thomas' brother

Thank you again  :) :) :)
