no I haven't seen that. I'm just starting to look for my husbands family in Scotland. I have no idea of where to look or how to look. I just know I'd like to have it put together for him while he can appreciate it. He has early stage dimensia. He wants the info for his daughter and her grand kids.
I appreciate the help here.

Hi,
IF the couple on the 1901 are the correct folks you could get their marriage certificate from ScotlandsPeople website which would give you their parents. You can search for free but you need to buy credits to view the marriage certificate. https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Willsy, these are great finds.

I notice that Catherine's birthplace is listed on her card as Burnt Isles, Scotland which may help find her birth.  There are places in Scotland which may fit -
Burntisland is a royal burgh and parish in Fife, Scotland, on the shore of the Firth of Forth.
Also google comes up with Burnt Isles in the Kyles of Bute, but there seems little information about it.

Hi,
As mentioned at reply 8 - James and Catherine look to be have been married in 1882 at Burntisland - it's the one in Fife and the marriage can easily be found on ScotlandsPeople. Catherine's name is listed as Kirkcaldy - with a 'y'. The certificate will give both sets of parents. The first two children look to have been born at Burntisland...

Just to add,

As SP is not how it was, do not input 'Spouse Surname' as it won't show!

Just put Calder & James (Fife)

KIRKCALDY
CATHERINE
