Best free cencus

I wonder if anyone can point me in the best direction to look at local to shropshire,& ludlow in particular cencus,also births deaths& marriages please on some free sites,just to kick start things im stuck on.
Any feed back would be good.

It's also worth looking out for the trials on Find My Past and Ancestry. There is a thread somewhere on here about a month on FindMyPast for £1, but I can't find it! Just make sure if you take up the offers that you untick the continuous subscription so that you don't get charged full price for the next month.

It's worth checking if your local library subscribes to FindMyPast - mine does.
