Hi

When I was a teenager we used to call the operator (BT 100 ?) and ask them to check the line.

Of course that was before Yodafone, ChalkChalk, X-Static, HeHe, etc.. ;D

Is it still the same? [ Kev? We're nearly the same age, wot do yu remember? ]

Maybe it's a tied line?! :-\
Remember them?

First mobile I had was from the (former) main operator - the one with the Prancing Prat logo! ;D

You had to press the button a few times to alert the operator, otherwise they might have thought it was someone just dusting the telephone and who had knocked the handset off it's perch!  ;D

Hi all, Thanks for all help.  Kev, Did contact Ancestry, "  BY Contact on Line."   They confirmed a full refund,

and the "Number" is still not ringing, for me.  and I haven't flited over night, still in Cambs.

Had my t/phone line checked NO FAULT FOUND  .

Well at least these post seem to have sent some of you down memory lane, and created a few grins.
2mm :D
