hi every one--i am trying to find out where james roffey was born, all i can find is "surrey"--he appears to be born abt 1802--married louisa stenning born abt 1809 in wisborough green sussex--he married louisa at cobham surrey in abt 1830--they had children in ewell and deptford--i have in the 1851 census but only surrey is mentioned as birth place--i cant seem to get back further can anybody help please

A couple of possibilities on family search, you may be able to narrow it down with naming patterns.

You will need to be careful as the 1851 also has a James Roffey b Bedington Surrey 1803 and another b 1803 Croydon

The Beddington James Roffey has Parents SIMON/SARAH (Source FreeREG)

There is also one Bapt 13 July 1800 Banstead to RICHARD/ANN
+ a illegitimate one 22 Jan 1804 Godstone, Mother MARY

I noticed a William Rofey was a Witness to the Marriage of James/Louisa.
