1901 census Thomas Phillips
« on: Saturday 19 November 16 17:27 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the family of Thomas Phillips (birth unknown) who I believe was living with his wife Sarah Anne born 1852 in Wordsley.

Thomas was probably a publican.

Any help gratefully received

Possible 1901 -

Thos Phillips   54 b. Kingswinford, Staffordshire. Bricklayer/Seedsman
Sarah A Phillips   49 b. Wordsley, Staffordshire
Harry Phillips   24 b. Kingswinford, Staffordshire
Mary Phillips   13 b. Kingswinford, Staffordshire
Mary Phillips   mother 85 b. Kingswinford, Staffordshire

RG13 Piece 2757 Folio 144 Page 30, Kingswinford, Staffordshire

Can't see that Thomas was a publican on any census. Why do you think he was a publican?

JJ

Harry son 14 Office Boy at Tile Works
Mary J Daniels neice U 19 Domestic Servant

Many Thanks. This is the right family. Thomas was a licensee of the Peacock Inn from 1908 to 1909.
It seems that his occupation was rather varied.
Many thanks again.
