Cemeteries around Pilton
« on: Sunday 20 November 16 06:13 GMT (UK) »
Would anybody have access to a list of Cemetery's within a few miles of Pilton.
My MASTERS family used St John the Baptist C of E at Pilton for all their BDM ceremonies.
However, one kind lady did a search of the church graveyard, and she tells me there is not one grave
there for a MASTERS.
With their burials being recorded at St John's I'm wondering if there is any other graveyards in a close proximity to that church. I know my  4th great grandmother Sarah, and her youngest son William are listed as being buried at St Aldheim's, Doulting,
Whether they have a marked grave though, I have no idea.
Are there any other cemeteries around the area?

Cheers
Geoff

You say that their burials were recorded at St Johns. It is more likely that their graves are unmarked if the lady could not see them in the graveyard

I have the Church records that show the burials, but it does not indicate as to where they were buried.  When I was told that there was no indication for any of my MASTERS family, that is what made me think too find out if there was another cemetery around there.
Maybe they just have unmarked graves! One day I'll know.

Thanks
Geoff
