Perhaps that is another Adam Landells?
However, there seem to be several Douglas/Landells namings in New Zealand after that time - related to Adam Landells / Margaret Douglas sons, James and Edward.
I am not sure whether Adam did at some time move to NZ and if so, whether he married and where lived there. Or is the NZ connection only via his sons James
Douglas Landells and Edward Douglas Landells?
Presbyterian Archives seem to often spell LANDE
LLS and Da
llawell with a single L when other sources are using the double LL

There is no evidence I have seen linking these LANDELS to the Papakura-Tauranga LANDELLS other than their appearance in NZ Presbyterian Archives
