Copperopolis book
« on: Friday 25 November 16 14:07 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have a copy of this book to sell for a reasonable price please?

Stephen Hughes, "Copperopolis: landscapes of the early industrial period in Swansea". (Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments in Wales, 2000, repr. 2005.

If so, could you PM me please?

Many thanks,

Bee.

I put a Post on the 'For Sale/Wanted' Board on here for the very same book in August 2008, but I've never had any replies:

Would still like a copy though!

Try to borrow it from your library.

I'm in Hertfordshire, and so would have to be an inter-library loan; which is now so expensive that it makes more sense to buy a used copy.

ABE Books has a copy
https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?kn=Copperopolis%3A+landscapes+of+the+early+industrial+period+in+Swansea&sts=t

COST 2,573 US dollars! I doubt many libraries have a copy.

Goodness, - that's a bit steep! ;D

Mind you, it's £399.99 on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Copperopolis-Landscapes-Industrial-Period-Swansea/dp/1871184320

I wish I'd brought a copy when it was £25.00 new...

Is there a specific article you are interested in or the whole book?

The British Library in London has a copy as does the National Library of Wales.

Thanks, I need it for a friend who is a Heritage Officer - just thought someone might have one they no longer needed. I'm checking out all the charity shops as well.

I live in hope!  ;D
