I have worked back to a Vere Smith (1778-1860) born Chester. married Elizabeth James (1779-1857) born Monmouth.

I am looking to find where their daughter Elizabeth Smith was born possibly born in Penhow about 1808.  Also would like to find out who she married.

I descend from her brother Vere Herbert Smith born 1805-21 March 1860 Penhow, Monmouthshire. he married Elizabeth Thomas 14 December 1832 Penhow Monmouth. Their daughter Susan Smith was my Great Great Grandmother born Jan 1838 Penhowe, Monmouthshire.

The names Vere Herbert is kept on in each generation for some reason.

There is a baptism at ABERGAVENNY, ST MARY for Elizabeth Smith on 2nd June 1803, daughter of Vere Herbert Smith and Elizabeth Smith of High Street.
