Look up please
« on: Sunday 27 November 16 06:38 GMT (UK) »
Someone said it might be worth posting this on the Warwickshire boards, so here goes.....

Can anyone help with this please....

David Maurice Povolotsky was born in Hackney in 1928...Davids mother Sadie Press  remarried in 1934 to someone called Harry Sharp.....David then had taken the surname Sharp.
I think in the  60's David married thats where i get stuck.......someone said he might of married under the name of Maurice Sharp but i cannot find anything at all on this.....he could also of divorced in the 60's im told.....

Is there anybody who could shed some light on this please...i dont think he had any children either.

Thanking you ....

Do you know if he could still be alive?

Have you got an exact date of birth for him?

Do you know when and where his mother died, and have you her death certificate or information about any will?

Added:
Sadie also had the surname Powell when she married Harry Sharp in Birmingham.

Would this be her death?
Sadie Sharp born 3 Dec 1909
died in June 2003 aged 93 in Birmingham

There is a grant and will for Sadie Sharp for 2003, if you apply for it you will get further, possible very useful, information.

The surname Powell might be because they changed their surname from Povolotsky to Powell.

How can you be so definite that he has died, and if that is so, has anyone got a death certificate for further information, or a will?

Have you looked for other children of Sadie, and ordered her will?

The articles on a google search seem to call him David Sharp with no use of Maurice.

With the publicity surrounding his death, if there is an ex-wife or children, they might appear.

Hi Chempat....

Yes i have looked for other children of Sadie but havent found any im afraid.....

I know they just called him David but his middle name was Maurice...

You mentioned earlier about the death of Sadie in Birmingham age 93 , that could well of been her .
As you say with all the publicity someone might just appear at some stage ..will have to wait and see..

The best people for this kind of work might be Heir Hunters, if there is an estate. As seen on TV, they have the expertise to look into the background of living people, which we can't, find cousins who might be benificiaries, and talk to friends, acquaintances etc.

I don't think they charge if nothing is found.

There is a web site for their association - http://www.heirhunters.org.uk/
