I am trying to find a Francis Benson born 1879, Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, his parents were Robert Benson and Euphemia Baxter. Francis married Grace Cameron, 1903, Blantyre. Grace was born 1880, not sure where, her parents were James Cameron and Annie Brown. Francis and Grace, had 3 children, Annie Brown Cameron Benson born 1906, 4 Ulva Place, Blantyre, can't find her parents deaths or hers, Euphemia Baxter Benson born 1909, again can't find a death, Robert Benson, born 1905, died 1907, James Cameron Benson born 23/7/1911, found all of them on the 1911 census. Francis named was recorded as Frank on his marriage certificate.

They might have moved to England, have some help from overseas, but they didn't find anything.

Hi Ann

I'm related to this family and can provide the following information.

Robert Benson died, age 89, on 22 February 1941 at 2 Edward Street, Hamilton, of cardio-vascular degeneration/senility and was interred in Bent Cemetery, Hamilton, on 25 February 1941. The informant was Robert Benson, son, of 15 Butterburn Park, Hamilton. Robert Benson, colliery
engine keeper, was the widower of (1) Euphemia Baxter and (2) Agnes Craig.

Euphemia Benson (née Baxter) died, age 50, in 1903 at Retta Cottage, Edward St, Hamilton, and was interred in Bent Cemetery, Hamilton, on 5 May 1903.

Following Euphemia Baxter's death in 1903, Robert Benson, age 52, of Retta Cottage, Edward St, Hamilton, married Agnes Craig, age, 43, domestic servant, on 20 July 1909 at 8 West Adams St, Edinburgh. Witnesses were John Benson and Agnes Birnie.

I'm most happy to send you those certificates.

Cheers,

Rodeo
