Jane Wilson Melville Dundee

 I am seeking information on the death of Jane Wilson, born abt 1823, Balmerino, Fife. Her husband was Andrew Melville, who was found drowned in Dundee docks in 1877.

 When Jane's son, Thomas Melville married in 1889, Jane was deceased. I could not find her in the Dundee 1881 census, nor in a Scotlandspeople search, although their new site is still being updated.

Was Wilson her maiden name or one of her christian names?

Is she shown as deceased on her husbands death cert?
