I wonder if it was a second marriage for Margaret as there are no Goodall/Murrow births that I can see.

Sorry just noticed they were both single.

According to latest census NO children for this couple  :(

Very odd. Could the children be "adopted" ? Parents are quite old in the 1901 census.

Arthur Goodall b 1885/6 york. married Beatrice Cooper 14/12/10.

I have the marriage cert in sutton on the forest York which states his father is either Jimmy (James) or Johnny and that Arthur was residing at that time in York.

I was actually asking about 'his father's occupation
What was written on the marriage certificate?

Edited
I can see from 1910  m/c that his father Young's occ  Tradesman & Arthur's occ Labourer

I'm still finding it strange that there are no children registered with father Goodall and mother Murrow - by that time not to register a child could result in a fine. The fact that Maggie says she has had no children also makes me think they may not actually be theirs by birth.

The 1885 fits for date, does Young Goodall have a sister who could have given birth to this Arthur  :-\
