West Derby Cemetery is nearby, it's the district cemetery that covers Norris Green. Kelly's Directory 1938 has the full address as Glassonby Crescent West Derby L11. Anfield Cemetery is another possibility as it is the city wide cemetery. My top three of likely places would be:-

1. West Derby
2. Everton
3. Anfield

Liverpool Record Office will probably have the Liverpool newspapers for the period you want on microfiche.

Is it the Fletchers at number 21 you are interested in? Kelly's Directory 1938 has Alex. Fletcher tailor at 21 Glassonby Crescent. I have some Electoral Register information for 'G' addresses in the area:-

21 Glassonby Crescent

1945: Murdina Fletcher, Muriel Fletcher and Alexander Fletcher
1946: Murdina Fletcher, Muriel Fletcher and Alexander Fletcher
1947: Murdina Fletcher, Muriel Fletcher, Alexander Fletcher and William Fletcher

Hi Blue,

Yes that's them. I recently got pdf copies of Alexander and Murdina's death certs and I wanted to follow them up a little by looking for their obits and headstones but I have no real idea where to start. 99% of my family tree stayed in Scotland and I have little/no experience with English records and where to look for further info.

Thanks :)

You could ask Liverpool Record Office for a quote on newspaper death notice look ups for the couple and scans of any notices and look ups of the three cemeteries and scans of burial records:-
