St. Lawrence - Chobham. Are MI's available?!
« on: Friday 02 December 16 02:52 GMT (UK) »
Hi team

Subject line says it all really.

I've just starting researching a line I haven't done much on in 25 years and it seems like there are 100's baptised, married, and buried at St. Lawrence at least since the 1700's.

These are the familysearch.org offerings for Chobham

https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=22892&query=%2Bplace%3A%22England%2C%20Surrey%2C%20Chobham%22

Spent many a lazy summer afternoon at the airfield at Chobham watching the Tiger Moths taking off and landing. The Automobile Association kept its traffic aircraft, a Dragon Rapide, at Chobham too.

I believe there are now talks of developing the site with housing.  I lived nearby as a child and used to cycle across the common to the airport.  I also played in the sandpits which were not that far away http://www.thewaroftheworlds-woking.com/horsell_common_woking_the_war_of_the_worlds.html

Sorry I am not closer now as I would have enjoyed a stroll round the grave yard.

Good Grief

I have no idea what happened there, so sorry for not replying.  Thanks for your input.

Tony, I will definitely email over the next few days.

Best Regards, bitzar.
