Hi,

There are 4 photo's on https://achurchnearyou.com/image.php?id=2773 but this the new church, haven't found any images of the old church.

Hope this helps, found it by Google search - Faceby - achurchnearyou

Thank you Ian,

I am putting together a family history and trying, as far as possible, to include an image - be it a photo, artist's impression, old drawing, etc., of the churches where the various family members married.

My husband's great grandparents were married in Faceby old church 1857 so sadly the newer church 1875 doesn't fit.  I understood there were a few stones "ruins" of the old church still there somewhere.

Regards

Have you asked North Yorkshire Archives at Northallerton, they may have something  :-\  Or even the church itself  :-\  Or the Borthwick Institute in York  :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Have approached Swainby FHS being a neighbouring village and hope they may have something.
